Running Princesses - Ariel

Every year a few marathon running friends of mine run in the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon. Two years ago they asked me to make them princess costumes they could actually RUN in for long distances.

Meet Ariel - Styled after running skirts with built in trunks, hidden pocket, turned and finished edges so that no raw edges or elastic would chafe. The clam shell bra was quilted and attached to a nude power mesh top, which covered the customers running bra. A few beaded accents with shells finished off the look for a very modest budget.
