IMAGE: Outfit a public statue of a celebrated historical figure with a knitted or crocheted Gishwhes cardigan.
Shhhhh.... I've been assured that God has a sense of humor, and that He would approve of all the good and charitable acts brought about by GISHWHES. I certainly hope so.
My friend's hands were a blur as she knitted this beautiful cardigan in record time, only to have me put it on one of the most celebrated and historical figures I could think of. I know the sides aren't done up properly, but I had to be really quick getting it on and off the statue, security was watching me!
