1890's Hat collage

My most recent 1890's build needed a hat and the pattern I ordered arrived without the pattern pieces.  (???)  So, I took one of those small, cheap craft straw hats you find at the local craft shop, cut it, dyed it and used that as the base.

Using various shades and textures of the green and black in my outfit, I made bias cut ruffles in silk and taffeta, two types of ribbon and feathers.  It's a fun little thing.
