It has begun.  When I wrote in this journal last fall, I mentioned that I would style Rarity's gala gown as either late 1860's or early 1870's.  I finally settled on 1874(ish) as the time period and started work last week. The bustle and train supporter is finished (photo already posted) and then added all the petticoats this monstrosity will need.  I've also got the main skirt, lining and overskirt cut out.  The bustled train still needs to be cut, but I want to finish off the main skirt first.  It has ruched organza, more pleated ruffles than is good for my sanity and lots of floofiness.  I've been debating posting in-progress photos, but

Here's to hoping I can get it all done! 2011 1. Amazing holiday creation (10 pieces total) for a client.  Shhh... it's a secret. ;)  Pictures will be posted after completion. 2. Alterations and holiday salsa for another client. (?) 3. Gifts for some family and friends 4. Begin period undies (1860's and 1910) - I'm on the fence here. 5. Begin "Secret of Kells" inspired green st
